Test # 1 - EEK!

Hey Class -

So, as we all know, tomorrow's our first big test. Don't freak out. Here's a reiteration of what you need to know for tomorrow's test:

- vocab (multiple choice)
- new suspense story
*multiple choice
*short answer/essay
- apply fiction terminology to short answer/MC questions
- a crossover question tying in all 3 short stories & the new one on the test
- short answer: answer the question AND provide textual evidence (these are quotes taken directly from the passage!)

Post here if you have any last minute questions at all.

I know y'all can do well. Study hard! Good luck!

Hey Mr. Phillips it's Taylor from your first period Honors English class...what exactly is the crossover thing with the three stories combined? What are you really asking us to do here?

Also, on the text evidence...do the quotes have to be exactly from each of the stories that we read or do they just have to be similiar?

Hey Taylor -

I know this is way too late but the internet went down at my house last night so I wasn't able to get online at all. The crossover will be your ability to relate the new story on the test to the three stories that we've read already.

When using text evidence, you'll have the new story in front of you so you need to pull quotes directly from that story. I won't ask you to quote word-for-word a story that we've read because you can't look at it during the test!

Sorry for the late response and I hope this helps!
